Architecture Photography

Saturday 21 September
Forbury - 9am - 2 Hours
Muhammad Zubair Taqi
Architectural photography can be a great way of exploring and documenting a city, whether it's your home or on holiday. Its about capturing not only the design and accurate representation of a building, but to have the shots be aesthetically pleasing to the viewer's eye. An architectural photographer makes pictures, not takes pictures.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.

It was a slow start as only two of us attended and no model was available. However the energy and enthusiasm from our tutor was immense. We did manage to find a model who happened to be walking through the Abbey ruins with her own photographer and we asked if we could join them and they agreed. This is where our tutor came into her own, her direction and attention to detail was outstanding . She was keen to view the images we had taken and provide support for further development . I think we were luck to have her presence as a tutor .

Title or Location: Virginia Water Lake Pavilion, Windsor
This photo was taken on my Sony Xperia 1 iii smartphone at Virginia Water Pavilion Lake. After a long walk around I managed to be at the perfect spot to capture the golden hour at 18:40 on 5 September 3023. I took this shot to represent happy times with your loved ones. I edited the shot slightly with lightroom to increase the white balance and bring out those gorgeous colours. After a busy period at work this was just what I needed.
